Project Description:
- Raising and widening the dike over a length of 800m by capping the existing dike and building out the landside toe (600 m) or riverside toe (200 m).
- Construction required removal and stockpiling of existing topsoil, supply, placement and compaction of approved dike fill, removal, supply and replacement of riprap, top dressing side slopes with stockpiled topsoil, hydroseeding, and placing a top course of road mulch.
- The second part involved removal, supply and replacement riprap erosion protection for previously raised sections of dike over a length of 2,300m.
